Pay Transparency doubled since 2020

New data from Indeed HiringLab reveals that pay transparency - advertised employer-provided salary information - in US job postings on Indeed more than doubled between Feb 2020 and Feb 2023, rising from 18.4% to 43.7%.

Providing salary information helps close the wage gap and creates a hiring advantage for employers - a tool now frequently used in a tight labor market. Pay transparency has risen significantly in the past year, even in areas without active pay disclosure requirements, and has grown the fastest in high-wage occupations.
